Oh, man, it was a busy, fun summer!
And now it's over?!?! Well, that was quick!
Our busy summer led to a more relaxed and slow presence from me on the blog. Now that we're turning the corner into fall, I hope you'll be seeing me much more :) I still have lots to catch you up on from our summer, though. Well... minus our Labor Day weekend. I planned on throwing a photo dump your way earlier this week, but my phone bit the dust on Monday.
Since it's been a little while since I've rambled, let's see if I can come up with five things to update you on.
1. Warby Parker
Thanks so much for all the kind feedback I've gotten from my last post. If you haven't checked it out yet and are in the market for some new eyeglasses, definitely check it out! Warby Parker offers affordable, fun options!
2. Run DMU
Tonight Kaydin and I are participating in a work event, Run DMU, a 5k fundraiser for the university. I ran ( /walked) last year and it was a lot of fun! Excited to have her as my running buddy this year!
3. Downtown Farmers Market
Tomorrow I'm making a wayyyy overdue trip to the farmer's market. I haven't been for what seems like forever and I'm so excited! Plus, i'm going with a few girlfriends. Even better! We haven't all gotten together for a long time so should be a great day!! On m y list of market goodies for this week are kale, local honey, and bubble tea.
4. Garden Harvest
I've been getting lots out of the garden and Josh shared some of his bounty with me last weekend when I was home. I made some awesome gazpacho this week and homemade sauerkraut and pickles are in my near future, too. No picture to show to prove my green thumb, though, since it was one of the many casualties that was housed on my now broken phone. :(
5. The all-time best season of all!
Fall is officially right around the corner but of course already unofficially here! Tall boots, leg warmers, pumkin everything, crockpots soups, and appple picking! Eeeeeehh, I'm so excited!!
Linking with Clare from Fitting It All In for 5 Things Friday!
What do you always grab from your local farmers market?
