Mid-week catch-up

[Insert big sigh and deep breath]

Wow! It's been a crazy last few days! I'm sure everyone noticed the #blend2013 explosions on all their social media apps. A group of bloggers and I were living it up in beautiful Park City, Utah all weekend. I knew it would be a great weekend, but it still seriously blew my mind! Can't wait to go back next year. Full recap will hopefully be coming tomorrow!

Alex and I landed late Sunday night (during the pouring down rain!). I didn't get home until after 11:30. I talked to Tim a little bit, poked my head into Kaydin's room to check on my Little Miss( I was shocked to see her arms wrapped around a giant panda bear in her bed. Her and Tim made the traditional Mom's-out-of-town-trip-to-the-toy-store and that's what she walked out with!), and crashed from the long weekend.

Monday was a whirlwind day! I started off with my first day in my new job! A transfer within my current office, and a great career jump! :)  After school Kaydin and I headed to her last gymnastics class of the school year before her summer session started. She even got a certificate of completion signed by Shawn Johnson and Gabby Douglas!

After sneaking out of gymnastics a few minutes early, she dressed in the car in the way to her softball game.  We weren't there too long, though, before all the storm clouds rolled in. We got through almost one inning and lightening flashed in the sky. That was all it took and the games were called. Ok, by me though! That just meant I got to finally get home a little earlier! I wish she woulda gotten an at bat, though, she's been improving!

Tuesday started with another full day of work followed by Kaydin and I's annual eye doctor checkup. The girl was hoping for glasses and was pretty disappointed that her eyes were just fine. After the eye doctor we stopped by Jimmy John's for a quick and easy supper since we had one more event on the agenda for the day.

My friend, Summer, offered us tickets to a ballet, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, at the Des Moines Performing Arts. It was a fun show and a quite unique ballet performance in that the dancers were all men dressed as mostly women and was comical. It wasn't as serious and classical like most ballet performances are. A fun outing for Kaydin Baby and I.

Hopefully tonight will be more relaxed and I'll get some more time at home. We'll see though as there's a little shopping that needs done and I still haven't made it to the grocery store.

Watch for my Blend recap hopefully coming tomorrow! :)

  3. That's hilarious that she WANTED glasses. I have terrible eyesight and was so upset when I had to get glasses! Contacts are the best :)
