One of the first things I used our apples that we got from Center Grove Orchard for was a batch of homemade applesauce.
Super easy and no added chemicals or processed ingredients that you find in store bought applesauce. Have you flipped over an applesauce container? Corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup is a common ingredient. Why the processed crap? If you buy your applesauce in stores make sure to buy the natural versions. Check those labels, people!
Crockpot Applesauce

Ingredients:
- 8 medium apples (Use a combination of Honey Crisp, Fuji, Gala, Jonathan, etc.)
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 inch cinnamon stick
- 5 tsp light brown sugar (unpacked) - or agave
Peel, core, and slice apples. Add apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon stick to the crockpot. Cook on low for 6 hours.
