The recipe I followed was one from a blog I regularly read, Pb Fingers.
- 1/4 cup of chia seeds
- 3/4 cup of almond milk
- 1 tbsp. cocoa powder
- Small spoonful of sugar (1 – 2 tsp.?)

Many people may not be familiar with chia seeds, but they are extremely good for you. And yes- they are the seeds that grew the '90's trend, the Chia Pet. Chia seeds are a great source of antioxidants, protein, Omega-3's, fiber, and many others. They are also really easy to incorporate into your diet. You can add them to oatmeal, smoothies, cottage cheese, yogurt, cereals, soups, or muffin and pancake batters.
- More Omega-3 than Atlantic Salmon
- More Antioxidants than fresh blueberries
- More Fiber than bran flakes
- More Calcium than 2% milk
- More Protein, Fiber & Calcium than flax seed
Have you tried chia seeds before? how do you incorporate them into your diet?
I make something similar with Chia Seeds. I use mine as a byproduct of making soy milk. I just left over soy pulp and add 2 tablespoons pure cocoa, 2 and a half tablespoons agave syrup, 8 ounces of cottage cheese. Mix with a blender or handheld let cool in and all together put it on medium to low heat for about an hour. Blend again, let cool and then put in the fridge to set yummo!
